We left Hannover heading north to Puttgarden and enjoyed the numerous construction sites on the Autobahn. Isn’t it amazing that these sites are setup especially for the holiday season to guarantee maximum delays while traveling? We made it to Puttgarden anyway and managed to catch the ferry to Roedby/Denmark with only 20 minutes waiting.

Kopenhagen

After a nice stopover on the campground in Stubbekoping we left for Kopenhagen on Tuesday morning. Walking thru the city (in beautiful sunshine) I noticed that there are more tattoo & piercing shops in Kopenhagen than jewelry shops in Zurich. Must be the dope that makes you wanna pierce yourself.

From Kopenhagen we crossed the Öresund to Malmö. Heading north east towards Tingsryd the sky got darker and darker and soon it started raining. We arrived at the campground around 5:00 pm in heavy rain but it stopped as soon as we started to setup our camp. Campgrounds are perfect for research of human species. By looking at the motorhomes, fenced trailers and interior design of the awnings you get a pretty good idea of their owners.

Jogging suits and plastic sandals seem to be the standard apparel around here. We also noticed that the campground shop carries lots of beer but no eggs or pasta (both things that we expected to buy.)
At least the sun came out for the rest of the evening.
