It’s been our dream to spend time in Marrakech and now we made it come true. Thanks to AirBnB we found a beautiful place in the old medina and just minutes away from the central place Jemaa al-Fnaa. We strolled through busy souks, crowded with tourists (just like us) and discovered quite gardens like the “jardin secret“. The new city consists of trendy restaurants, cafes and shopping centers that could be in any modern European city. It’s amazing how fast we got used to our new surroundings and after 2 days we almost felt like locals. After 5 days we left again to head east to the Atlas mountains. On our way to Azilal we could still see leftover patches of snow from the previous week but the weather had already warmed up (at least during the day). The route alongside the Atlas mountains is breathtaking. Spring has arrived and the white almond trees in full blossom are in in sharp contrast to the dark blue sky. After a quick stop in Bin el-Ouidane, we are now in Ouzoud, a small village known for its famous waterfalls
Danke für die tollen Fotoberichten.
It is simply magnificent that and how you are living your dream. When looking at the pics and reading the stories – regardless the perspective 🐾 or language – it is just amazing.
Back in 2002 when you got married in Berlin you talked about living a different, an adventurous life. But – honestly – we never thought it would take such a turn and we only can imagine the courage it took to make a decision such as to give up one’s “comfort zone life”.
Seriously, that’s so admirable, we are applauding you – keep on!
Hey, nice to hear from you. It‘s been quite some time. We hope you are doing fine (wherever you are now). We are having a great time and in Morocco and enjoy the luxury of spending this time together.

Yup, it has been quite a while since we’ve been in touch. All good on our side for time being. fyi, Mascha will start her life as a bluewater sailor soon, ready to sail around the world over the next couple of years.
Make sure you’ll meet with her and her hubby at some harbor/marina you’ll both pass by, kind of.
According to your newest Instagram posts you’d acquired another dog … or is she/he just a guest to the delicious looking meal laid out on the table?
